About the Role

Melbourne Polytechnic is seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support the effective delivery of student administration and program coordination across the Foundation Directorate. This is a great opportunity to contribute to student success, support operational improvements, and collaborate with a passionate team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level administrative support to Bridging and Prep programs and the Auslan program administrator
  • Assist with student life cycle processes including enrolments, completions, and interpreter bookings
  • Maintain accurate records and filing systems (SharePoint, CELCAT, STRATA)
  • Deliver excellent customer service to students, staff, and external stakeholders
  • Support finance administration including purchase orders and invoice processing
  • Contribute to event coordination, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives


Skills and Experience Required

  • Vocational qualifications and/or extensive experience in administrative support roles
  • Strong organisational and document management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and student management systems
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Commitment to confidentiality, quality assurance, and continuous improvement


Additional Requirements

Successful candidate will be required to provide:

  • A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • A National Police Check
