About the Role
Melbourne Polytechnic is seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support the effective delivery of student administration and program coordination across the Foundation Directorate. This is a great opportunity to contribute to student success, support operational improvements, and collaborate with a passionate team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-level administrative support to Bridging and Prep programs and the Auslan program administrator
- Assist with student life cycle processes including enrolments, completions, and interpreter bookings
- Maintain accurate records and filing systems (SharePoint, CELCAT, STRATA)
- Deliver excellent customer service to students, staff, and external stakeholders
- Support finance administration including purchase orders and invoice processing
- Contribute to event coordination, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives
Skills and Experience Required
- Vocational qualifications and/or extensive experience in administrative support roles
- Strong organisational and document management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and student management systems
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Commitment to confidentiality, quality assurance, and continuous improvement
Additional Requirements
Successful candidate will be required to provide:
- A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- A National Police Check
